BOSU™
Stability and strength exercises will be incorporated into this fun and
challenging class using the BOSU half ball. Exercises will be based
on Yoga and Pilates movements. You can expect a cardiovascular workout.
Working on the BOSU effectively conditions ankles, legs, core and upper
body.
BOSU Boxing Fusion
This fusion class incorporates elements of our BOSU, Boot Camp and Contact Kickboxing classes, and will be taught in a circuit format. Cardio conditioning, stability and strength exercises on the BOSU ball will be combined with kickobxing and punching exercises on the bag to burn calories and build lean muscle mass
BOSU Yoga Fushion
This high intensity workout on the BOSU half ball, which incorporates light hand weights and tubing, is designed to increase balance, strength and stability by integrating the core muscles. The exercises will tone the entire body, resulting in defined abdominals, sculpted arms, legs, and glutes, and will conlcude with a relaxing yoga cool down to leave you feeling mentally and physically balanced.
Boot Camp
This is an intense, hour long group training session. All of the major muscles in the body, combined with cardiovascular training, will be emphasized. The class uses circuit training techniques which allow the body to burn more calories in a shorter amount of time while building lean muscle mass. Using free weights, BOSU balls, and exercise bands, combined with old army drills, students will be challenged to their highest physical ability in a fun class environment that is friendly and inviting. Boot camp classes are pre-registration and require a 6-session commitment.
Circuit Contact Kickboxing
If you’re looking for a way to increase
confidence, perseverance, and sculpt your body, Circuit Contact Kickboxing
is for you. This 60 minute class taught by Will Carmichael, a trainer
with 16 years of martial arts experience and a former lightweight Shanshou
(Chinese kickboxing) champion, is not your typical kickboxing class.
Taught in a circuit format, this class will consist of kickboxing combinations
using high and low kicking and punching concepts, and will cover self-defense
techniques using knees and elbows, with an emphasis on cardio conditioning
and body sculpting exercises. Class size is limited to a maximum of 8
participants and pre-registration is required.
Pilates
This is a method of exercise and movement developed by Joseph Pilates
which is designed to lengthen, strengthen, stabilize, and tone the
whole body. Pilates focuses on creating strength of the abdomen, back,
and improves posture, flexibility, and improving overall well- being.
Soulistic offers private, semi-private, and group reformer sessions,
as well as group mat classes. Group Reformer classes are limited to 4 participants and pre-registration is required.
Pilates Jumpboard Reformer
This Pilates reformer class will raise your Pilates workout to another level by incorporating cardiovascular jumpboard excercises. The jumpboard work accelerates the heart rate and targets the legs, back, abdominals and arms while incorporating traditional Pilates exercises.
Pilates Mat/Props
Challenge yourself in this Pilates mat class that incorporates balls, bands, magic circles, and foam rollers. Integrate mind and body, breath and movement with exercises that utilize your own body's resistence to strengthen your core, lengthen and tone the muscles, and increase your flexibility and range of motion.
The Pink Ribbon Program
The Pink Ribbon Program is a Pilates-based post rehab recovery program for those affected by Breast Cancer. The program will help stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest,
back and abdominal muscles, allowing you to increase range of motion
and regain function of the affected area. The program is suitable whether your surgery was recent or several years ago and accommodates all fitness levels.
This one-time, six-week program is conducted as early as 6 to 12 weeks after surgery. The program includes a one-hour private session for individual assessment prior to
the first class. Physician clearance is required.

Postnatal Mommy & Me Yoga/Pilates
This class blends Yoga flow and Pilates mat work. The focus in on strengthening the core, hips, and buttocks, toning the pelvic floor and uniformly developing the body. The result is a toned body and relaxed mind. Infants and toddlers ages newborn to 3 years old are welcome. Mix and mingle to build a support network with other new Moms and ask questions from seasoned Mothers in the group. Tea and coffee will be provided for those that wish to network after class.
Postpartum Pilates Mat
Pregnancy has a big impact on the body. Pilates is one of the best ways to get your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles back into shape. It's important to focus on regaining strength and support in these areas before jumping back into an active fitness routine. This class is intended to address diastasis of the abdominal muscles, restrengthen stretched abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, address damage to abdominal muscles following C-section, and give Mom a sense of her body again.
Practical Self Defense
This practical self defense class will emphasize street awareness and include a blend of Chinese and Southeast Asian martial arts practices with elements of total body conditioning. Develop perseverance, confidence, and optimal fitness is this six week course. All fitness levels are welcome. Pre-registration required

Regular Pilates exercise during pregnancy has been proven to yield a more comfortable labor and delivery experience, relieve back strain, control weight, increase blood flow and expedite the process of getting back into shape postpartum.

Pilates, Yoga and Cardio-based exercises on the BOSU to build strength, enhance body awareness, and increase balance and flexibility
Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga - the Primary Series
The first or primary series realigns the spine, detoxifies the body, and builds strength,
flexibility and stamina. The series begins with sun salutations and moves on to standing poses,
seated poses, inversions and backbends before relaxation. This class focuses on building
the fundamentals of Ashtanga Yoga with its unique breathing techniques and linking movements.
Children’s Yoga
Yoga empowers children of all ages to cherish their bodies, embrace their intuition, and to actively take part in making a future for our planet. A regular practice will increase your child's self-esteem, flexibility, confidence, leadership skills, and aware of link to planet, while building stronger family and community bonds. Soulistic offers Yoga classes for the following age groups:
- Youngbliss (ages 4-7) This fun, high energy class incorporates music, storytelling and crafts with Hatha yoga poses intracately sequenced to release toxins and move the body.
- Tweenbliss (ages 8-12) This class incorporates Hatha yoga poses inctractely sequenced to increase flexibility of the mind and body while integrating the principals of respect for one another, self and planet. Games focused on respecting boundaries and making better food choices are also incorporated.
Hatha Yoga
Balances the elements of sun and moon; the sun being “active” energy
and moon being “passive” energy. This practice is an integration
of different styles of yoga and is recommended for all levels.
Mom/Dad & Me Yoga
This class will explore the traditional benefits of Hatha Yoga in conjunction
with creating a nurturing environment for you to bond with your baby
or toddler. Infants and toddlers up to age 3 are welcome. Instruction will focus on strengthening
the abs, pelvic floor, hips and buttocks, and will include some flow-based
Yoga. A fun way to practice Yoga while meeting other parents in the neighborhood.
Mysore Yoga
Mysore is Ashtanga Yoga as it is taught at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute
in Mysore, India. The teacher works with students in accordance with the ability and
experience level of each, individually, offering verbal cues and hands-on adjustments.
Prenatal Hatha Yoga
This is a safe and gentle approach for women in all trimesters of pregnancy
to practice Yoga. This class focuses on body alignment, basic breathing
techniques, posture, and form, while achieving familiarity of traditional
Hatha Yoga. The class promotes concentration, flexibility, strength and
endurance while quieting the mind and preparing for labor and birth.
Props such as blankets, bolsters and blocks are often used and are provided
by our studio. Poses may be modified for each woman's individual comfort.
Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa means breath - synchronized movement. This class is a flowing
class using classical yoga poses intricately sequenced. It is focused
on building internal heat in order to purify all layers of the body.
Dance
Aerobic Salsa
Learn the fundamental skills of Salsa footwork and shines in this aerobic-style
class. We will cover the music, timing and counts of Salsa while learning
dance moves you can take anywhere! Each class will culminate into fancy
footwork combinations and choreography that will get you sweating.
Please, no rubber sole shoes or high heels. Soft sole shoes such as
ballet or jazz shoes preferred, but bare feet are okay too.
Belly Dance
Learn to sway and shimmy your hips with basic belly dance technique and
routine. Instruction will alternate between veil and finger cymbal
instruction. Belly dance is a great overall body workout. Enhance strength
and flexibility while enjoying the beauty of this ancient art form.
No experience necessary. Exercise attire required. Please bring hip
scarf if you have one.
Bollywood Burn
Sweat, sizzle and burn in this unique class that teaches and perfects hip-shaking Bollywood dance moves. Classes are structured to first teach students basic Bollywood steps and then combine the steps with popular Indian beats and rhythms. Once basic steps are perfected, enhanced movements provide an extra cardio and core workout. The playful moves are choreographed to vary in intensity so students get a great workout from head to toe. No experience is necessary and each student can tailor the workout to his or her own expertise level.
Capoeira
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art which originated in the 1800s.
Slaves disguised this form of self defense in the charade of a dance.
It is a very physical art form which incorporates instruments, singing,
dancing, and fighting. Capoeira is a cultural experience which embodies
all of these elements in a unique spiritual and physical space.
Hip Hop
This energetic class integrates street dancing and rhythmic movements
in an add-on choreography format. Natural movements and expressive
dance steps are emphasized allowing participants to learn dances quickly
while adding a touch of personal flair.
Latin Dance Styles
This introductory class will cover the basic steps of Cha Cha Cha, Samba,
Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. No experience necessary. Please no rubber
sole shoes or high heels. Soft sole shoes such as ballet or jazz shoes
preferred, but bare feet are okay too.
Nia Dance
This energetic class creatively combines methodology and techniques from a variety of disciplines. Nia incorporates not only jazz and modern dance, but martial arts and yoga-like moves too. The movements are innovatively linked together to teach balance in motion, diversity of movement, and whole body conditioning. It will teach the mind to focus and inspire the body to become strong and flexible. No experience necessary. Nia Dance classes are pre-registration classes, but drop-ins will be permitted if space is available.
Teen Creative Movement
This class is for teens ages 12 and up. Students will explore movement ideas using visualization and imagery to create their own movement combinations. Various music genres will be explored and students are encouraged to bring their favorite music. Observations and reflections will be discussed in class. Pilates and Yoga is taught as a warm up. Prior dance experience is not required.
Urban Dance
Urban Dance is a unique experience all its own. In this class, you will learn some of the hottest new hip-hop choreography in a fun and energetic envriornment. Imagine "America's Best Dance Crew" meets "So You Think You Can Dance". The class is designed to accommodate all dance levels. Be ready to work hard and have the best time ever "working out". Classes will be offered in 5 week sessions for $75 and pre-registration is required.
West African Dance
This is a fun and invigorating class taught to live drums. Idy Ciss,
principle dancer and choreographer for Muntu Dance Company, learned
this dance style on the West African Coast of Senegal. No experience
necessary.

Deep Tissue Massage
This type of massage uses deeper pressure to target specific points of
tension in muscles and joints.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage promotes well being for both baby and mother., Working with the client in either
semi-reclining or side-lying position (after the first trimester), this massage is designed to nurture
and relax an expectant mother's changing body., Prenatal Massage utilizes relaxing massage strokes that
will improve circulation, increase energy and bring soothing stress relief.
Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the concept that every part of the body is aligned
in pathways/zones that end in specific points on the feet and hands.
By applying precise and steady pressure over these reflex areas, the
reflexologist bolsters the body’s immunity. An excellent antidote
to stress-related conditions, reflexology relaxes the body, releases
energy and restores balance.
Reiki Session
Reiki is the ancient art of hands on healing to channel healing energy into the
chakras, aura and energetic space of the receiver to clear unwanted energy
and promote healing on the physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual
levels. An overall healing targeting the seven main energy centers (chakras)
that correspond to specific physical areas of the body is available. Specific
physical ailments may be targeted as well as any emotional/mental issues. Enjoy
a session to promote and receive an uplifting shift in your energy space.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is perfect for individuals who lead an athletic lifestyle.
This massage will focus on chronic areas of tightness to restore flexibility
and mobility to muscles and/or joints.
Swedish Massage
This massage technique uses light to moderate pressure. It is good for
flexibility, circulation, and overall relaxation.
Thai Hot Compress
This treatment combines the power of healing herbal therapies and soothing
moist heat in the form of a hot compress with table massage or Thai Yoga
Therapy to give special attention for muscular tightness and pain. The hot herbal
compress is applied along the acupressure zones of the body to increase blood flow
and lymphatic drainage.
Thai Yoga Therapy
Thai Yoga therapy incorporates acupressure, energy meridian work, and Yoga based
stretches. The client will lie on a massage mat fully clothed. This work is
